How much can you remember about bringing up your kids?

I know, it sounds a stupid question.

But I've been a parent for nearly 10 years now and I'm very aware that I'm forgetting too many of the wonderful little moments and memories my kids have given me over the years. Much of this is because I've made a complete hash of 'capturing' their childood.

I'm not talking about the big milestones and 'firsts' such as birthdays and tentative first days at schools - but more the bits inbetween. The silly little things that happen all the time. The things that often we make no attempt to record or remember. The things that define parenthood.

Perahps it's a hilarious comment from the back of the car that has you all in stitches, or a first garbled a-z sung proudly in front of grandma and grandpa or even an 'I love you, dad' when you've had a hard day at work.

For me, it's the little moments that make parenthood so wonderful. And I've let too many of them slip through my fingers. Something happens and because of the distractions of life you don't 'remember to remember'.

Remembering to remember is what Memory Pools is all about. We want to make it so easy to capture the special moments that it becomes second nature. As easy as sending a text.

Because if we can capture our memories and bring them to life in a rich and meaningful way, it'll be something that we'll all want to look back on. Even the kids.

So in answer to my question, I can't remember enough detail.

How about you?

PS. Sorry for the delay in blog posts, Memory Pools is nearing Beta!

George says something halarious all the time. Like a dream you can't remember it for more than a few hours. If you don't capture it before then it's gone forever

I've only been a parent for 5 years and I think of the exact same things. Sharing quality time with them and stopping what I'm doing and giving them my full attention really gives me a buzz, when I can see that they know I genuinely care about them.
